Once a touring country artist and Nashville recording songwriter, Tanya spent years chasing songs down highways and across stages, learning that the truest stories arrive in kitchens after midnight, in hard seasons, in ordinary moments that somehow ask to be remembered.

 

Her path has been anything but straightforward. Before music fully claimed her, she worked in leadership and community development, built businesses, and raised a family, doing her best to live the sensible version of life. But she kept writing. After her daughter was born, Tanya made a decision she could no longer talk herself out of. She booked a trip to Nashville and began chasing the life she had quietly imagined for years.

 

Her single Second Hand Dreams found unexpected momentum on U.S. country charts, carrying her through recording studios, radio releases, and American touring. 

 

These days, Tanya creates from a one-room log cabin near Mattawa, Ontario, where the days are shaped by weather, birdsong, woodstoves, and the quiet discipline of living deliberately. 

 

Still drawn to honest storytelling, Tanya writes about resilience, reinvention, longing, courage, and the moments when ordinary people realize life can be chosen differently.
